With over 34 years of extensive experience in crude oil and natural gas drilling and production at Oil India Limited, Deb Ranjan Banerjee stands as a seasoned professional in the energy sector. He began his academic journey with a B.Tech in Chemical Technology from Calcutta University, achieving First Class First rank honors. Furthering his expertise, he pursued an M.Tech in Chemical Technology in 1993-94 on a full-time basis, supported by a Special Study leave from his employer.

Deb Ranjan Banerjee commenced his illustrious career at Oil India Limited in 1985 as a GE Trainee. Over the years, his dedication and hard work propelled him through the ranks, culminating in his appointment as Head of the Drilling Department after 32 years of service. His strategic vision and leadership skills were further recognized when he was promoted to Executive Director. In this role, he successfully managed vast oil and gas producing asset covering 1677 sq km, overseeing more than 24 installations dedicated to oil and gas operations and enhanced the production in three folds over a period of 18 months.

Deb Ranjan Banerjee’s tenure at Oil India Limited is marked by his unwavering commitment, leadership, and numerous accomplishments. His strategic insights and operational expertise have significantly contributed to the company’s growth and success in the energy sector. In September 2019, he retired as Executive Director, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and a lasting impact on the industry.
