Sanchita Banerjee brings over 36 years of extensive experience in natural gas handling and LPG production and dispatch at Oil India Limited. Her academic foundation is solidified by a B.Tech in Chemical Technology from Calcutta University, where she achieved a First-Class rank. She further enhanced her expertise with an M.Tech in Chemical Technology with Petroleum Refining & Petrochemicals in 1993-94, completed on a full-time basis, facilitated by a Special Study leave from her employer.

Sanchita Banerjee’s career at Oil India Limited began in 1985 as a GE Trainee. Through dedication and exceptional performance, she ascended through the ranks, ultimately becoming Head of the LPG Department after 34 years of service. Her career pinnacle came when she was promoted to Executive Director, where she led various special projects in oil and gas. Notably, she established a comprehensive INDEG Department, aligning with the Prime Minister’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” directive.

Sanchita Banerjee’s tenure at Oil India Limited is characterized by her steadfast commitment to excellence, leadership, and numerous notable achievements. Her strategic initiatives and operational acumen have significantly contributed to the company’s success in the energy sector. She retired in October 2021 as Executive Director, leaving behind a distinguished career and a lasting impact on the industry.
